Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome (WHS)
WHS is a progressive, incurable neurological disease of pet hedgehogs that causes wobbliness, an unsteady gait and eventually paralysis, usually starting before age two.
It resembles some human demyelinating diseases and has no cure, though supportive care can help for a time. Any hedgehog that becomes wobbly, falls over or drags its limbs should see an exotic vet to investigate.
