Declanning
Declanning is when a previously bonded gerbil clan suddenly turns on each other, with serious fighting that means the animals must be permanently separated.
It can happen even in long-settled groups, especially as young gerbils mature, and rushing an introduction makes it more likely. Check clans daily for wounds or a gerbil being driven away, and be ready to split them.
